2 hours guided walking tour of the medieval quarter of Cuenca

We met under the Arches of the Town Hall, in the Plaza Mayor, with our guide (red jacket). Let's go up the Medieval Quarter through the Ronde de Julián Romero, marveling at every glance at its network of viewpoints. We will discuss buildings as unique as La Posada de San José, the Carmelite Convent (now the Antonio Pérez Foundation) or the Provincial Historical Archive, which was once the Court of the Holy Inquisition. Once in the Castle, the highest part of the city, we will change sides to descend along the side of the Jucar River. We will discuss the Church of San Pedro, one of the oldest in the city, and we will return to the Plaza Mayor after having visited the Plaza de San Nicolás and having enjoyed some of the viewpoints of the Barrio de San Miguel. To finish the visit, of course, we will travel to the San Pablo Bridge to enjoy the best views of the Hanging Houses, a true icon of the city of Cuenca.
